The Birmingham Cross-City North runs from Birmingham New Street to Lichfield Trent Valley, and this BVE route is an extension to the popular "Cross-City South" route. In order to have the highest number of available freeobjects, other BVE route resources, and better performance, the Cross-City North route files will be independent of the Cross-City South. Most of the diagrams and scenarios in the Cross-City South will be continued in the Birmingham New Street to Lichfield Trent Valley route. The highlights are New Street station, the highly complex Proof House Junction, and Lichfield Trent Valley High Level station, where the West Coast Main Line passes beneath.

Like the Cross-City South, this route will be another detailed and accurate BVE add-on designed in CSV format, specifically for BVE2. The detail in the Cross-City North will build on the acheivements of the Cross-City South, and will include even more detailed, complex and realistic catenary, more photo-realistic lineside features and the usual variety of passing trains between New Street and Aston, with more 323's onwards to Lichfield Trent Valley High Level, where the Cross-City line passes above the West Coast Main Line and Lichfield Trent Valley Low Level station. As with the Cross-City South, invaluable help with route information and a few train objects has been offered by Steve Green [Train Sim Central], and some gradient information has once again been provided by Robert Glass [Scottish Rail Sim Files]. The route will be available in four variations (Daytime Summer/Winter, Dawn, Dusk), as well as being available in several 'Detail Levels' so the route can run on a variety of PC hardware. Use the links on the left to find out more about the route.
